Looking over at the terminus...
Looking over at the terminus of the Mary Green Glacier (with the summit at top-center). It is necessary to traverse across and up these stream courses. Some might say this is the crux of the climb. Some parties choose to rappel them on the way back. The slabs aren't always steep but they can be wet and awkward. If it's early enough in the season (see this picture), the slabs can be snowcovered. Not sure if that would make it easier. July 10, 1998.

"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."   --M. Cartmill
