Sitting on top the Needles Eye [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Sitting on top the Needles Eye
October 2008 Visit.
This the massive exposed area of volcanic rock spat out millions of years ago in the days the Stretton Fault was active. As the weather was so much better than my last visit I decided to climb on top The Needle a large rock that detached from the main part many years ago now. I am 6ft 2inches tall and this gives good scale as to how big this rock actually is.

You did it again! This is pure magic in motion.
An "adventurous interlude" to what is yet to
come. Volcanic rock remains one of my favourites, right after limestone. Cheers!!!

I was surprised it made it picture of the hour but its actually a good picture to show off the scale of these amazing rocks.
You certainly like your rock formations.

Cheers - David.
