Taking a Break in the Boulder Room

The Boulder Room, located at the south end of Valley of Boulders in Charon's Garden Wilderness, Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, OK, offers a nice respite from the warmer temperatures outside. Here, some of the older boys from Boy Scout Troop 275 take a break after their October 08 descent from adjacent Elk Mountain.

Great picture...looks a cool place to hang out. Nice to see some kids taking in the outdoors too.

	Hasn't voted	Thanks, Mountainmanjohn. It is cooler than out on the rocks in the open--probably ten degrees or more. Quite a change from the heat which can sometimes be oppressive in Valley of the Boulders. --mark d.
