From Podkilavac village you hike up towards Hahlici hut by an open slope, today unfortunately degradated by a mountain road. One could never expect that in October the whole hill above Podkilavac is covered by Cotinus coggygria, 'bloody bush', in Slovenian language we name it 'ruj'. A true feast of autumn colours! Behind is the summit of Kamenjak. October 11th, 2008.
