Three Cliffs - Gower [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Three Cliffs - Gower
After the Worms Head this is probably the most famous coast feature on the Welsh peninsular of Gower near Swansea. Gower in South Wales is an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has some of the most rugged cliffs and coast line features in the whole of Wales. This picture of the great Three Cliffs that overlook the bay also named Three Cliffs is not easy to get as you have to get the tides just right to be able to walk out passed the cliffs.

How high's the tide?

This shot was of course at the low tide level. High tide is about the top level of the darker section on the cliffs.
Thank you - David.

Hi David,
Thanks for this and the other pics showing the mountainous face of the UK. As to the tide - a bit hard to estimate as there's no living creature around: a few metres?

Send me a PM with an email address and I will mail it to you. My mate is about 6 feet tall if you work in feet or metres it is about 2 metres. He is in the picture with a blue top on when I send it across.
As I am on line I can do this ASAP for you.
Cheers - David.
