A view from Columbine Vista on the Black Forest Trail in north-central Pennsylvania. The view is looking over the Slate Run Valley from a ledge only about a 0.3 mile hike from Slate Run Road. The mountain ridge at the bottom of the valley, near the right hand side of the photo, is on the other side of Pine Creek, the stream that flows through Pennsylvania's Grand Canyon. This photo is stitched together using eight separate photos. Fall time in northern Pennsylvania is about as good as it gets, rivaling New England, but not nearly as well known.
