I have no idea what kind of spider that is, but I think I would rather not know. (Creepy)

I have been bitten by a black widow and my grandfather by a brown recluse...he got quite sick and had to be hospitalized, but for the most part, it takes a precise bite from a dangerous spider to affect an adult human much. There are not that many spiders in the alpine environs of the Canadian Rockies, but the few we have are quite weird looking creatures to be sure. Cheers.

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
