Because the dry conditions during the winter 2003-2004 and the very hot 2003 summer, any routes in the Mont Blanc Massif were in not good condition or even unclimbable during the winter 2004. Here is a picture of the North Face of Tour Ronde from the Valle Blanche, in March 2004.
