Is that an avalanche?
Anyway, looks pretty awful in a really good way. Might just have to give that one shot sometime...

Thanks for your comment. I checked the series I took to find out that the upper moisture is from snowstorm or clouds because almost not moving. The lower is a "small" avalanche, because in the next picture I have it's been moving further down. Good detail you watched, I didn't even realise it first!!!

Thanks, flying over is cool, but you should go there one day. It's a very inspiring cicuit around the mountain.

Nikman, do you know anything about the ridge on the right side of the photo? That thing looks perfect. I would love to climb that and then traverse the knife edge to the main summit... Thanks for sharing this!

The normal route goes up behind that ridge to the right. This perspective is a little disturbing. I saw the mountian from all sides and know from the other perspectives, that it's not really a ridge to the right even it looks like from this pic.
Compare this one from the north: http://www.summitpost.org/image/463266/150687/manaslu-summit.html
But it's possible going up NE-flank to the east pinnacle and then traversing to mainsummits. Polish climbers already did so.

I've never seen a summit like that! Looks like
(at one time) the east pinnacle and the main
summit were connected, and then a giant piece
of the summit broke off into what was probably a very massive and amazing avalanche.

Simply amazing!!!

Thanks for your comment. You are right, Manaslu is pretty amazing because the sights change from each side a lot.
