Reaching the shoulder southwest of Großer Hundstod summit you have the last chance to look back to Funtenseetauern. Downhill route from the Funtenseetauern is first a traverse to the right and then straight down to the broad valley in the center. Never use the gully left of the valley - too much avalanches, as you clearly can see.
