This bat, a common pipistrelle, had been sleeping in its cozy bunk bed between the logs on the outside of a cabin amidst a peaceful highland forest in Norway, teeming with berries, grouse, elk (in Europe, this means a version of the moose, i.e. it's not what Americans call elk!), bogs and trout lakes: here
