Lower Salmon River (ID) Rafting Trip 2005 - "The Groover"

This is a rather plain version. I've had the pleasure of traveling with more deluxe ones also.

Why is it called a "groover"? This dates back to the era when rafters used old ammunition boxes with their characteristic grooves. Ouch! The next improvement was adding a toilet seat. Finally, they switched to plastic containers and properly shaped resting places. It's still called a groover and they get sealed shut and carried on someone's raft each day of the trip. Oh the honor and the trust involved is enormous!
