On July 31st 2008, I was happy to celebrate my highest peak for 2008, the top of Mt. Elbert. With my 68th birthday, six weeks away, I was happy to be able to get this one in 4 hours up and 2 hours down. The next day my wife and I did Pikes Peak and then Wheeler Peak in New Mexico the day after that. A nice three days. July 31, 2008

Some bumps along the way:
Broken finger, torn medial medicus, torn rotator cuff, near fatal fall, pneumonia,

Voted 10/10 | I'm right behind you, and still bagging a few peaks with my clicking knees.
Happy climbing,

Hasn't voted | Take care of those knees. I love my trekking poles, they sure help on the downhill segments to help save them "clicking" knees.
Many thanks and have a great Christmas and holiday season. | | Posted Dec 11, 2008 1:47 pm |

Voted 10/10 | ...for a very encouraging post- I'm soon going to be 63- but still going!! Not as strong as you are but I'm still hanging in!! | | Posted Jan 10, 2009 6:10 pm |

Hasn't voted | Fred, 63 sounds young to me now. Enjoy your youth and keep hangin in and I appreciate your vote and comments. Being in our 60's certainly is not a detriment as long as we keep active and try to live a healthy lifestyle. | | Posted Jan 11, 2009 10:09 am |
