Pik Lenin. Approaching Camp 2
Below Pik Razdelnaya (on the right, 6148m) there is the former place of Camp 2 known as the Frying Pan. On the 13th of July 1990 the camp was wiped out by an earthquake-triggered serac avalanche. 43 climbers died. This accident is considered the worst in mountaineering history.
