| Anteportillo at dusk | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Late fall lupines still blooming at 14,000 ft.
View from the North on the way back to camp from a sunset altitude adjustment run. The descending trail crosses Anteportillo and begins a gentle downward traverse to La Joya at the North end of the wide saddle, just out of sight to the right.

Hasn't voted | Thanks! There were clouds of the approaching cold front pulling into the mountain passes, and I wasn't sure if I will see much on the way to the peak the following morning. So I decided to catch every pretty moment on camera while I still had the chance :) Of course in the morning it turned out to be beautiful too, with the myriad lights of the capital city shining underfoot, but my camera wasn't up to capturing *that* :) | | Posted Dec 14, 2008 11:41 am |

Voted 10/10 | BTW That's terribly high - didn't notice at first as I'm not used to those funny measurements of yours - although I'm happy English/American/"International English" has become such a wonderful means of communication between people all over our planet - I'm eager to see you drop those feet/lbs/F (as well as England stop driving in the opposite direction on the same side of the road:)) | | Posted Dec 15, 2008 4:26 am |
