Stone Rivers of Vitosha [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Stone Rivers of Vitosha
This renowned curiosity was often referred to as moraines, more recently has been linked to the periglacial climate of the Ice Age, but in fact the formative process seems to have been complex – these boulders bear evidence of chemical weathering in the hot and humid climate of the Tertiary. Anyway, behind all this are the features of Vitosha's syenite rock – extremely hard but fractured.
