looking west from Crowfeet Mountain [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
looking west from Crowfeet Mountain
View west from summit of Crowfeet Mountain (8,914 ft). The thin, sheer arete that crosses the middle of the photograph is the Pinnacle Wall, with Iceberg Lake beneath on the lower left and Ptarmigan Lake on the lower right. Directly behind the wall is the massive mountain complex that includes (from left to right), Ahern Glacier, Ipasha Peak, the Lithoid Cusp, Mount Merritt (10,004 ft) with Old Sun Glacier, and Natoas Peak.

I climbed Crowfeet via the Ptarmigan Tunnel route. From Ptarmigan Lake, trudge eastward up the seemingly never-ending scree and talus slope until reaching the summit. From Crowfeet, one can hike an amazing ridge that connects to Mount Henkel and Appikuni Mountain.

Voted 10/10

Note that Iceberg Peak is highest summit on far left, with the B-7 Pillar just to its right. Also, Ahern Peak (mostly in shadow) is just to the left of Ahern Glacier (that is, to the right of the B-7 Pillar).
