Wheeler Crest from Casa Diablo Mtn.

"better" pics in my opinion. You have to dig
the contrast between the "house-sized" rocks
and the snow-covered mountains!

How many folks actually live in Owens Valley?
Has the human population been dwindling in
the last couple years?

I suppose if you tire of the crowds, you can
always take a drive out to Death Valley.
There's always something to do in the big CA!

Thanks Larry. Mammoth Lakes, 7,000 and Bishop about 4,000 pop. are the biggest "metro" areas in the eastern Sierra. Unless you're in those towns its pretty much small potatoes with little 1 or 2 light towns like Lone Pine, Independence and Big Pine.
