Totally irresponsible and shameless, but here are Caroline and I pacified by Animal Crackers as Dad goes off to scramble on and photograph the Fish Face crag. We are by a pool of water, but rocks ringing the pool are keeping us safely away from the treacherous currents of the Potomac River (Dad hopes).

Note to Dad-- carrying an 18-month-old girl in your arm as you downclimb Class 3 and 4 spots to reach the river, especially when she is screaming to be let loose and do the climbing herself, does not seem fun.
