The Scarce Copper (Lycaena virgaureae) is a butterfly from the Lycaenidae Family. It can be seen from June to August on the edges of forests and in the meadows of the Low Beskid. In the mountains it can be found up to the elevation of 2000 meters. Male butterflies are bright gold-red on the upper side of the wings with just a narrow dark border.
