My dad and brother as seen traversing up Abol Slide on Mt. Katahdin. It was the early morning hours, probably around 8 or so and we started at Abol Campground at 6:30 that morning. Lakes, rivers, forests, and more mountains are all that can be seen across the Maine backcountry. It was arguably the best day of the year to climb this magnificent mountain.
