Buckhorn Mountain from Boulder Ridge [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Buckhorn Mountain from Boulder Ridge
Looking northeast over the Big Quilcene from the summit of Peak 6852, the twin summits of Buckhorn Mountain (6988ft,2130m & 6956ft) are most prominent. Between the peaks, the long scree fan reaches clear down to the trail and provides access. The immediate peak to the right is Iron Mountain (6826ft)and Copper Peak (6938ft) looms further out.

Where do the good folks from the Pacific NW
hang out during the winter months???

I haven't heard or seen any comments at all
from WA state lately. Do you guys take your
vacations to drier climates during the winter?

When I lived in WA, I spent most of the
winter cross-country skiing in MRNP and
Crystal Mountain. I always prayed that the
summer would come around faster than it did.

Sorry for the delayed response but, you see, I was hibernating. Everyone else must be too.

I believe you! Do you also have a bridge that
you can sell me, spanning the Hoods Canal ??
