Heading into the Royal Gorge on the Arkansas River

The Royal Gorge is one of the most challenging whitewater runs in Colorado.
Most of the rapids rate IV and V (on a scale of I-V) and require prior experience paddling and swimming ability unlike other sections of the Arkansas.

I apologize for picture quality; we were not allowed to use any cameras except disposable, waterproof in this section. I will post some "prof" pictures with my "I'll Take My Mountains With Rubber - Part II" article.
