Perfect.
Is that a cave on the left?

Hi Borut,
No, that's just a dark shadow made by the rock in front. But, I'm so happy you like the photo.
I have a question though. We were in a symphony two nights ago, and looking at the bases, one of them looked bigger than the rest. Is that true? are some bases bigger than some others?
Thanks for the visit,
Marc

Yes sir! Some are bigger than others. The cellos are quite the same size, but the doublebasses may vary in size, some even have 5 strings.

Thank you Dean. You remember my little story about how cold it was when we started up the icy trail in the dark.
Sounds like it was worth it.
Thank for dropping by Dean,

in the right place at the right time!
Were you folks there just for the day, or
did you spend the night in the campground?
That shadow is truly amazing.

Hi Larry, No we spent three days in the park, and getting this shot was totally planned. We were staying in Moab, and we had to get a very early start to do the drive into the park, do the hike, and be there before sunrise. Getting started early wasn't too bad, but starting the hike in 8 degree F, on an icy trail in the dark was a little hard.
But, I think it was all worth it.
Thanks for the visit and the compliment Larry,
Marc

Thank you so much Radek. I really didn't know this shot was an original or not, but your comment makes me smile from ear to ear.
I am a happy man

more than welcome Marc - might want to attach to the Arches NP page here on SP (should get more recognition that it well deserves).

Thank you Radek. It's done. But, how do you make it go to the Delicate Arch section? I guess that will be up to Aaron, since he is the administrator of the page. Righto?

yup - Aaron can insert it somewhere on the page (technically I guess i can too, but those sections are Aaron's brainchild so I'll leave it up to him....my contribution to that page is tiny).

Thanks Radek, I just realized that you shared the page with Aaron. So, I will leave it up to him to do what he wants with the pic.

that is an excellent shot. is that your shadow? and isn't that another arch on the right hand side center (i seem to remember another arch on the right hand side just before you get to the arch viewpoint)?

Thanks for calling this an excellent shot. How about voting on it! To answer your question, yes that's my shadow with the arch. I asked my wife to hide behind the rocks, and there was nobody else there. I also don't remember seeing another arch in the vicinity of this one.
Thanks for dropping by mlandau3,

I think the other arch is a few hundred feet before you reach the delicate arch overlook. It wasn't marked and it was about 20 feet above the trail (you had to do a little bit of work to reach it).
