Utah Symbol [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Utah Symbol
My license plate has Delicate Arch on it and many consider it to be one of the true symbols of the state. Click to higher resolution to see my daughter's family enjoying the symbol of Utah. They are centerstage. Thanks to them for letting me share this picture. I am ready for some red rock again after this winter of snow that we've been enjoying in the Salt Lake City area.

Dean, I'm pleasently surprised. There's no
haze layer in this one! It gets my vote!!!

That arch is so incredible when you consider that at one time is was just part of an overal landscape. Then the winds of time blew and voila, the most incredible arch of arches (except for the Golden Arches when you're hungry)

There's a billboard sign (in Moab) that reads:

"Visit Moab's OTHER arches."

I'll have pickles on mine, please! : )))

I've seen that billboard. Why didn't I think to take a picture of it and post it here. It'd make a good one for the 'funny' pics album.

What's more healthy than eating at the Golden Arches? What do you eat down there in Texas?

Well, I'm currently getting fat eating at Double Dave's Pizza Works one night and Whataburger the next... I'm in sad shape, but the good news is I'm planning to get the Texas highpoint on a little spring break trip I have planned to Guadalupe National Park in two weeks. I'm going to bag GP and El Cap before driving on to Albuquerque. It'll be my first peak since tagging Lone back on July 24th. Well, my first if you don't count my snowshoe trip up Dry Canyon to the Baldy summit returning down Battlecreek that I did over Christmas break. Something else you might like? I'm planning on Ibapah in May... I miss our conversations at Wasatch my friend.
