Climbing the Dove Crux

cp0915 heads up the chute in the "book" on the NE side of the Dove summit block. This easy 5th class, 20' section, is the crux of the climb -- but the rock is somewhat unpredictable. The idea is to head left by the big crack above cp0915's left hand. The long thing is a rope, not a tail. Note the action footwear.

I always thought the "Ice Cream Man" was better
off without a tail.

Does he buy his footwear at REI ???

Mainly he goes for less than $15/pair, and size 12-13.
