| Box Elder Ridge from the east | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Box Elder Peak (11101) is on the right. Left of it is unnamed peak 10626, and to the left and in front of that one is unnamed peak 10057. If you look closely through the saddle Box Elder Peak makes with 10626 you can see pyramidal Lowe Peak (10589) of the Oquirrhs and to its right, barely sticking up, unnamed peak 10180. This picture was taken just north of the summit of Mill Canyon Peak. Box Elder Peak is 6 miles away, the Oquirrh peaks are 33 miles away.

Voted 10/10 | So, you could see (at least) 33 miles away
across the "very urbanized" Salt Lake valley?
Excellent! I would have liked to have been
on top of Lowe Peak that day, looking east
towards the Wasatch. | | Posted Feb 10, 2009 9:28 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks Larry. I thought it was cool too. When I first noticed those little peaks I was like wait a minute, there's nothing in back of that saddle. It took a while to figure out what they were. | | Posted Feb 11, 2009 6:10 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks. You have some incredibly beautiful photos. I especially like the blue and purple hues in the moonrise one. | | Posted Feb 23, 2009 11:10 pm |
