Eagle Crag - Crosley Saddle sign [ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ]
Eagle Crag - Crosley Saddle sign
Charred remains of the Crosley Saddle sign. If one is coming from the north you would head left to reach Eagle Crag and right to climb Agua Tibia Mtn.

Could this have been so innocent as the result of a lightning strike?

You know I hadn't even thought of that. I just figured the sign caught fire from the fires we had last October but when I look closely I noticed only the top of the sign is charred and the rest seems to be ok!! Good eye!!

Most likely due to the fire being whipped wildly by the wind and not necessarily sweeping across the ground to burn lower. Sure is a shame.
