Hasn't voted | Warm shades of red above my head,
Give me reason to rise from bed.
Geology is a beautiful thing,
These stone towers make my heart sing.
All that's lacking is snow, but you can't
have everything! : ) | | Posted Feb 25, 2009 10:53 am |

Voted 10/10 | How tall can Arizona's junipers be? Where's the TR? | | Posted Feb 25, 2009 5:20 am |

Hasn't voted | I'm too lazy to create a TR! I need to return to college, so I can learn the ways of the computer's language and formatting.
Juniper trees can reach 20 feet tall; often
shrubby with a single truck. (Similar to a
GREEN elephant.) : )))))
Cones are berrylike, and turn purple in spring. It was 80-degrees in Arizona today!!! | | Posted Feb 25, 2009 11:01 am |

Voted 10/10 | You mean 27 Celsius? In February? I remember one Feb a few years ago that we saw a butterfly:) on some rocks exposed to the sun – must've been up to 60 (Fahrenheit:)). But normally it's mostly slush. | | Posted Feb 25, 2009 2:47 pm |

Hasn't voted | When the rivers' rise, you know that the snow
is melting in the high country.
We already had a "wildland fire" of approximately one acre near the I-17 freeway
yesterday.
Nothing similar to what they're experiencing
in the land down under, but it does seem to
be very warm for the month of February. | | Posted Feb 25, 2009 3:05 pm |

Voted 10/10 | How your title inspires music while your photo creates an adventure. Thank you for the sensory overload!

Hasn't voted | Trina, welcome back! I run ALL my photos through a "photo mill" (on Windows XP), in
order to make the colors stand out.
Just lately, I started to see the connection
between song lyrics and desert landscape pics.
Other than that, its been "business as usual"
here on SP. (As long as I'm not overloaded
with butterfly pictures, I'll survive!)
Thanks for your comment & return back !!! | | Posted Mar 10, 2009 9:02 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Sorry - repeating myself (still being 2. exalted - but just look at this album page you've created, it IS MUCH MORE INFORMATIONAL (not to mention artistic) THAN THE DEAD AREA PAGE, so let's say it again:
The Courthouse Butte area page has never grown and been dead for eons, except for your pix!!! Why don't you take over your Butte??? Please do.
Cheers

Hasn't voted | I'm not positive HOW the adoption process
works. In order to prevent future hardships
and a "hostile takeover," I just have to wait
until the particular person responds to my
messages. It is truly a cat and mouse game! : )
'Till then, all I can do is keeping on adding
to AZ's Amazing Iron Oxide Curtain.
In the end, it will be a very long curtain !!
Much peace, my exalted friend from the East!! | | Posted Mar 14, 2009 8:10 am |
