Little Bear's NW Face in Winter [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Little Bear's NW Face in Winter
Looking up at Little Bear's imposing Northwest Face from near its base. Looks can be deceiving - its actually holding more snow than this picture suggests. Most of the snow on top of the ledges is hidden from view from below. The famous black hand watermark which indicates the starting point for the climb is clearly visible on the left side of the picture about half way up. Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Colorado. February 2009.

"This is blood for blood and by the gallon. These are the old days, the bad days, the all-or-nothing days. They're back! There's no choice left. And I'm ready for war."   --Marv, Sin City
