This is pretty much the story of the Charles H. Deam Wilderness in south-central Indiana. From our "wilderness" campsite on Monroe Lake, a dammed reservoir, you can see a causeway, a marina, some of Bloomington's suburbs (not in this picture) - - and a swimming beaver, among other wildlife.

This is Indiana's only wilderness area. Love the one you're with.
