Looking west on the way down Cross Peak
Cross Peak is dwarfed by the mountains to the west. These mountains go up to about 8,000 feet directly west; although the ones in the photo are about 7,000 feet. These mountains still had snow on March 25, 2009. The highest mountain in this range is Mount Rose at 10,776', located further south.
