This here is the Ordnance Survey trig point on the summit of Rhos Dirion. A trig point like this once stood on Waun Fach which only the base now exists. Rhos Dirion is one of the high points that commands fine views out to the north-west and north across the vast valley of the River Wye. In the back behind the trig are the summits of Twmpa, Hay Bluff and Black Mountain.
