Subalpine Meadow - Selway Crags
This open meadow in the subalpine forest of the Selway Crags is dominated by the yellow Tweedy's Ivesia, which is disjunct from the Cascade Mountains. The pinkish flower is a variety of coiled-beak lousewort that is endemic to the Selway Bitterrot region of northcentral Idaho. Photo from the ridge near Big Fog Mountain. July 2007
