This here is a view along the north ridge from the summit of Twmpa towards Rhos Dirion. This picture shows how the summits along the north ridge drop dramatically off intoo the Wye Valley.

These Black Mountains certainly are a wilderness. Very rarely walked when compared to its neighbouring Brecon Beacons...!
Many people who climb the Brecon Beacons never think about ventureing out onto these fine and isolated summits of South Wales.
