Beskid in Tatras [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Beskid in Tatras
Hala Gąsienicowa (Gąsienicas' Pasture) still sits on the granite of the High Tatras whereas the peaks in the photo are the first outposts of the lower and gentler W Tatras, built mostly of metamorphic rocks and limestone. On the right, on Kasprowy Wierch (1985m) perches the meteorological observatory (cable car station as well). The summit in the centre is called Beskid (2012m). This is an early autumn image.

Tomek Lodowyfirst snow ?

Voted 10/10

Beskid the last or first peak of Western Tatras in the East, so inconspicuous and really nicely captured here !

Thanks, Tomek, I'm really glad you like it. Actually, I hesitated a bit because the scene didn't seem exciting at all :) but finally decided I liked it too:) Our golden autumn - kind of Indian summer, right?
Cheers
