This is the mountain that I proposed to my girlfriend. We had just climbed over the top of Black Balsam Knob and then climbed Tennent Mountain. Sitting on the summit rocks, we ate lunch, and then I pulled out the ring and asked her to marry me. She quickly accepted and hugged me, as we continued to get wet from the mist and rain that continued to fall on us. It was a special day and only in the mountains would I want to propose.
