Requiem for a Tadpole, 5.9+ [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Requiem for a Tadpole, 5.9+
Variation from Original Route
3rd-4th Pitch- 200’- 5.8+/ This is the payoff pitch. Continue up a short crack and mantle to the next large ledge. It would be best to not place pro here if you want to go the distance without serious rope drag. Toss your ropes to the left and start up the fantastic brown rock arête. Clip approximately seven bolts which you can supplement with some gear if you want (.75”) and make stellar arête move after move, left and right and left again, following the bolts to just below Humerus ledge where you can build a semi hanging belay.
Requiem for a Tadpole, 5.9+, 5 Pitches, Brownstone Wall North, Juniper Canyon, Red Rocks, NV, April, 2009

definitly going to give it a go yet Radek and I will tell you why...we met some dudes when we did the N. Face of Castleton...they had done Primose that morning, drove over and doing North Face in the evening...these guys were locals and run laps up the towers....hard core to say the least...anyway, we were talking routes, how much we loved those three pitches on the N. Face...and the more experienced one stated that of all routes, Cloud Tower ranked at the top for him!!! has done it six times!!! so it has to be a stellar deal....waiting for you to run up it and tell a blue collar climber how and where to unlock the hard moves...cheers

Dow I'd argue that my blue collar status (union cred's) are at least equal to yours :) ...in other words, kinda what I was gonna ask you: get'er done & post up beta!
Cheers Dow!

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
