Voted 10/10 | considering all the zooming you had to do for this shot. Looks like the cables are buried. But I've heard they take down the cables for winter.

Hasn't voted | Actually, not a great deal of zooming was required- one is pretty close to Half Dome on the western slopes of Clouds Rest. Alas, we didn't quite summit (had to turn around right before hitting the long west ridge due to time constraints), but it was still a great journey- didn't see a soul from Little Yosemite Valley on! The Cables remain in place, but are typically covered in snow until the spring (the posts & wooden slats are removed beforehand...), & thus inaccessible. | | Posted Apr 10, 2009 1:48 pm |
