This was a rock overhang we explored where we discovered a turkey buzzad sitting on a pair of eggs. Buzzards just lay their eggs on the rock, with no nesting material. While we were looking, one of the parents came back and vomited up the contents of his/her stomach to chase us away. We took the hint.

Hasn't voted | Actually, we did. Frank took those, and I don't have them. Don't know where he filed them, either, before he died. I have a photo I may post of Frank hunkering down trying to get a photo of the buzzard with her eggs. She came back while we were trying to figure out what kind of bird had laid the eggs, and she was not happy. She spread her wings out and marched toward us before she upchucked. Apparently they do this to chase off predators.

Hasn't voted | I downloaded the shot of Frank taking the photo of the buzzard. I'll try to get his wife to see if she can find his photos. Frank preferred slides, so there might not be a photo I can scan.
