The Bristlecone Pine Tree on the left side of the trail is the location where you turn right and head directly up the scree slope to catch the ridge over to Mummy Mountain.

Elevation here is about 10,440 ft. It is approximately 3.29 miles from the trailhead at Trail Canyon.

If you zoom in on this photo you can see the "M" at the bottom of the tree with an arrow directing you to turn and hike up the scree slope to the ridge.
