The North Face of Peak 8,676 [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
The North Face of Peak 8,676
The north face of Peak 8,676 forms the spectacular cirque above Culver Lake. Climbing the peak from Culver Lake is not advised. The rock appears to be a mix of Martin Bridge limestone and Hurwal formation, which is metamorphosed volcanic sedimentary rock. This photo was taken from the top of the large exposed basalt dike the forms the west side of the cirque. August 2008
