Pasqueflower in Fruit
This is the plumose seedhead of western or mountain pasqueflower (Anemone occidentalis). This species is a common subalpine flower from the Cascades and northern Rocky Mountains. In this part of Idaho, it only shows up on the highest mountain slopes. July 2007
