Looking down on Copper Lake... [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Looking down on Copper Lake...
Looking down on Copper Lake 3,100 ft below. The lake's water drains to Williamson Creek, which drains to Spada Lake, which drains via the Sultan River to the Skykomish River to the Puget Sound thence to the ocean, whereupon it evaporates into the air, gets blown back east into the mountains, forms clouds, condenses out of the clouds, lands on the hillsides surrounding the lake, then ultimately winds up back in the lake. Poor water; can't escape its lifecycle. Here is another picture of the lake. April 25, 2004.
