Angel of the Morning [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Angel of the Morning
An evening primrose in the Calico Hills just off the trail to Turtlehead Peak as the trail begins to climb in earnest.

These flowers are true ephemera; many bloom only in the shade or at night, and within minutes of being hit by direct sunlight, they begin to wilt. You can often pass one of these beauties at dawn and see it in all its glory only to find a shriveling remnant just an hour later.
