This view from the south slope of Needle Point shows most of the upper Eagle Creek Canyon, which the trail ascends to Eagle Lake before starting the climb up to the summmit of Peak 8,924. Eagle Lake is just visible in the lower left corner. Peak 8,721 is visible at the center of the photo. A trail leaves the canyon bottom below it and ascends to Bear Lake, which is in the bowl on the far side. August 2008
