Voted 10/10 | opinion, you have did the monolith of
Thomson justice in this photograph.
In Fred Beckey's book that I purchased in
1987, he includes the 'p' in the mountain's
name.
Beckey made the FA of that steep 600-ft face
and (west) ridge with Helmy Beckey, Robert Craig and William Ford in 1940 from the 5,960 ft saddle above Bumblebee Pass. Very nice !!! | | Posted May 28, 2009 11:04 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks. I wasn't sure how to label this mountain. The USGS map that I have says "Thompson," but it was named after a guy named Thomson, and Beckey does call it "Thompson." Klenke's page here on SP calls it Thomson. | | Posted May 29, 2009 8:25 am |
