Wild ponies seen running near the Rhododendron Trail, which later joins the Appalachian Trail along the route to Mount Rogers in Virginia. This was during the second day of my Southern Appalachian Loop Trip, a trip during which I summited six State Highpoints and multiple other peaks during Memorial Day weekend 2009.
