Devil's Courthouse stands out along the Blue Ridge Parkway, as a shoulder to Chestnut Bald. Apparently, the early natives felt that some evil spirits lived near this rock and therefore kept their distance. Today, however, one can stroll from the Devil's Courthouse Overlook, right to the top of the rock for an overlook.
