Martin Cash surveys the remaining 100 feet of climbing to gain a flat area below the rock climbing transition to the upper snowfield. At this point in the couloir you are treated with your first views of Colchuck Peak, Dragontail Peak, East Dragontail, and Little Annapurna (just to Martin's right). May 2, 2004.

Probably about 1 mile in, from my recolection. At 3 miles, there was spots that didn't have snow though. Melting out fast with these summer temps.
